Our flagship store is based within the Eco Village at the centre of Market Harborough.
Trading successfully at Harborough Indoor Market allowed myself (owner, Beth Lambert) and trusted co-manager of Refill Revolution (Beth Awdry), to get to know a growing collection of like-minded businesses.
Together, we could see a real thirst for change by customers, lead by those inspirational, eco-minded entrepreneurs we were meeting along the way.
From this, an idea started to emerge which saw us create the Eco Village. We wanted this to be a collective hub of small businesses, allowing customers to shop for a wider range of products than we could stock at Refill alone, yet still following the same values and guiding principles.
We couldn't shake this vision. So we worked on a business plan (we do really love a good, coherent plan), coerced those businesses into joining us, and opened the Eco Village at the beginning of February 2020.
Remaining at the Indoor Market too, our larger space at the Eco Village allowed us to increase our own range and product diversity.
Dry foods are still at the very heart of what we do, as are our refillable cosmetic & cleaning products. However the space at the Eco Village has allowed us to expand on this, whereby we now stock a huge range of everyday household objects enabling customers to make sustainable swaps easily.
Whether you need a few scoops of porridge oats, some toilet roll, or bamboo-cutlery to use when eating on the go, we have you covered. All plastic-free and with a zero waste ethos.
And much to our delight you can now do a full weekly shop from the Eco Village too! Other businesses include fresh fruit and vegetables, locally-reared meat, milk served in glass bottles from a vending machine right through to houseplants and kombucha on tap. It’s a wonderful and exciting community venture, we love it!
Refill Revolution at The Eco Village can be found on St Mary’s Road in Market Harborough, just next door to Kwik Fit and a 5 minute walk from the train station.
